An Unfortunate Loss
While on vacation, we stayed in a hotel located on the outskirts of a city. When we went into the city one morning for breakfast, we overheard the locals talking about an apartment building. Apparently a teenager had fallen asleep with a lit cigarette in his hand. The cigarette caught the bed on fire and ended up destroying almost half of the apartment building. As law enforcement began to investigate the fire, they discovered that the owner had let his landlord building insurance lapse just one month ago! He literally lost thousands of dollars in less than one hour–what an unfortunate loss.
