Retirement Age Raised
Italy is taking charge to improve its economy. It is taking moves faster than other European countries in order to do damage control. Rome recently announced that Italy will raise its retirement age faster than these other countries and plans to cut over thirty thousand public sector jobs in less than four years. Essentially, Italy is trying to increase the efficiency of the labor market. Italy will sonn have a new government, so what will the reform plans of the country be? In the food plant design industry, we are curious to see what results. In our industry, business has improved since the recession scares have died down. Companies are pouring money into new facilities which leads to more jobs for all.
